Story of An Artist
Sandrah Chalmers was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haïti. As a self-taught Artist, she began to draw at the age of 4. As a child, her fascination for colors and shapes rapidly developed. Her curiosity grew as she discovers the work of some great Art Masters such as, Leonardo Da Vinci, Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky, and the ell recognized Haitian painter Jean-René Jerôme. Her style transformed over the years, from Abstract to Photo-Realism. Today, she considers herself as a Modern Pop Artist.
Sandrah Chalmers' creativity depicts from her love for life, her love for music, her love for Art. Her subjects derive from daily encounters, and some, are just fruits from her limitless imagination. Her paintings project movements and splashes of bold and vibrant colors. Graduated in 1999 from Florida International University with a Bachelor in International Relations. She now resides in Atlanta, Ga. Her ultimate belief is that creativity is a gift that holds no boundaries. Sandrah is fluent in English, French and Creole.
